Patol Korma


  • Patol- 7-8pcs
  • Ginger paste-1tsp
  • Green Chilly paste-1tsp
  • Paanch Foron (1tsp methi seed, 1tsp nigella seed, 1tspcumin seed, 1tsp black mustard seed and 1tsp fennel seed)-1tsp
  • Turmeric powder-2tsp
  • Red Chilly powder-1tsp
  • Char Mogoj (water melon seeds)bata-2tbsp
  • Chena- 2-3tbsp (Milk- 1/2ltr, lemon-2-3tsp)
  • Cumin powder-1tsp
  • Garam Masala powder-1tsp
  • Salt- to taste
  • Tomato Paste-1tbsp



  • Boil Milk. When the milk is boiled, switch off the flame. Add lemon till you see green water.
  • Strain in muslin cloth and let it remain for few minutes till the chena has become dry.
  • Peel and cut patol into 4pieces.
  • Marinate it with salt and 1tsp turmeric for 10-15min
  • Take oil in wok, fry the patol pieces and keep aside.
  • In the same oil, add Paanch foron, add ginger paste, green chilly paste and tomato paste. Fry
  • Add 1tsp turmeric powder, red chilly powder, cumin powder and char mogoj bata. Fry.
  • Add water and fry again
  • Add Chena, stir. Add patol pieces.
  • Add salt, garam masala powder.
  • Let patol boil till you get desired consistency.
  • Serve hot with Roti.
