Baras take a lot of time to get fried, doesn’t it? Check out this healthy, yet yummy Dahi Bara recipe, where you don’t need to fry them.
Steamed Dahi Bara
Ingredients:
- Arhar Dal-1cup
- Moong Dal-1cup
- Ginger paste-1tsp
- Salt-to taste
- Hing-1tsp
- Eno salt-1tsp
- Curd-1bowl
- Sweet Tamarind chutney-4-5tsp
- Coriander-1tbsp
- Green Chilly paste-1tsp
- Masala(grind the roasted jeera)-1tsp
- Sugar-1tsp
Method:
- Soak both the dal for around 3-4hours
- Grind the dal
- Take the dal in a bowl and add hing,ginger paste, green chilly paste and eno salt.
- Grease the idli stand, pour 1tbsp of batter into the mould of idli stand.
- Steam for around 10min or till the baras are cooked.
- Beat the curd, add salt and sugar.
- In a bowl, place the bara, add the above curd mixture, sweet tamarind chutney, masala and coriander.
