Dahi Palak Kofta


Tired of Palak Paneer or Paneer Kofta? Try this fusion of both in this yummy recipe.

 Dahi Palak Kofta


  • Hung curd- 2cups
  • Red Chilly Powder-3tsp
  • Salt-to taste
  • Semolina/Rava/Sooji-For coating
  • Oil- 4-5tbsp
  • Ghee-1tbsp
  • Ajwain-1/2tsp
  • Onion Chopped-2pcs
  • Ginger chopped-1tsp
  • Garlic chopped-1tsp
  • Garam Masala-1tsp
  • Spinach-2bunch
  • Tomatoes-1pcs
  • Kasuri Methi-1tsp
  • Sugar-1tsp
  • Coriander-2tbsp
  • Water-1tbsp


  • First boil the spinach and grind it in a mixer to make a fine paste.
  • In a bowl, mix hung curd, salt and 1tsp red chilly powder.
  • With a spoon make small balls and put it over a plate full of semolina (sooji).
  • With another spoon wrap the balls with sooji.
  • Take a pan, put 2tbsp oil, fry the koftas and keep aside.
  • In a wok, add rest of the oil, ghee, ajwain, chopped onion, chopped ginger and chopped garlic.
  • When onion turns golden in colour, add chopped coriander, 2tsp red chilly powder, garam masala and spinach paste.
  • Stir for a minute and then add water, salt and sugar.
  • Keep stirring continuously.
  • Add chopped tomatoes and the koftas.
  • Mix it well.
  • Turn off the gas and sprinkle some kasuri methi.
  • Enjoy with roti/naan/parota.
