This is a totally Jain cuisine. Enjoy this easy, yet tasty and filling recipe with your afternoon tea.

Aloo Chaat


Ingredients:

  • Potatoes(boiled, peeled and cut into cubes)- 4cups
  • Green Chillies-2-3pcs
  • Coriander-1tbsp
  • Ginger(julienne cut)-1tsp
  • Lemon juice-1tsp
  • Salt- as per taste
  • Masala-(mix 1tbsp roasted cumin seed powder, 1tsp red chilli powder, 1tsp amchoor powder, 1/4tsp black pepper, 1tsp black salt, 1/8tsp hing, 1/8tsp citric acid{optional},1/2tsp ginger powder{saunth}, 2tsp sugar).
  • Oil-2tbsp


Method:

  • Take oil in a pan, allow it to warm.
  • Put the flame into medium-low and add the potatoes.
  • Sprinkle salt
  • Fry potatoes carefully so that it doesn’t break.
  • Fry both sides of the potato.
  • Switch off the flame.
  • Let the potatoes remain in pan, add ginger, green chillies and coriander, mix.
  • Add 1tbsp masala.
  • Serve hot.
